REFRACTIVE ERRORS

Refractive errors

As the light enter the eye it is focused on the retina to give clear image. The lens, normally shaped eyeball and cornea are needed to get a perfect image. But it is not always so and you need corrective specks to see clearly. To check the required glasses we use retinoscope to get approximate idea of glass power required and then put the different lenses in trial frame we get the final power.

Correction of refractive errors

For the correction of refractive error one has to use lenses in front of eye. It may be in the form of spectacles or in form of contact lenses.

Types of Refractive Errors
